Welcome to The Oven Mitt!!

I am a lakeshore local who has had a love for baking and pastry arts all my life.  At The Oven Mitt, you can expect your treats to be fresh and delicious.  I will offer a variety of desserts for everyone to enjoy.  Because I love the creativity The Oven Mitt is bringing me, I will have a variety of fillings, flavors, sizes, and desserts.

I have spent the last 10 years of my working career involved in the community working as a paramedic.  That has been very rewarding and built me into who I am today.  Finding a spot in between my medical profession and love for the kitchen, I have made customized cakes and sweets out of my home.  Two years ago I pursued this passion even farther and obtained a degree in pastry arts from The Culinary Institute of Michigan.  Only a few short months later and I'm making big dreams come true here at The Oven Mitt!

How can I be any luckier in life? I'm continuing to serve my community in a whole new way.  Making my dreams and passion come true.  I can't wait to meet you to create your special treat and participate in all of lifes celebrations together!
